Clay strainer
Ithmos or strainer or sieve of hemispherical body. The upper part of rim is decorated around its perimeter with an incised undulating line. The body is pierced with holes. The holes were made with a pointed tool when the clay was wet, from the inner to the outer surface.
The strainer whose function has not changed over the centuries retained the same shape down to modern times.
