Wall painting of the apse at the northern chapel of two identical chapels that were built adjoining, south of the Trigonion Tower. In the conch the Virgin is depicted, in full length and frontal pose with her hands raised in a gesture of supplication. She is flanked by two saints presented in full length and frontally, dressed in the manner of deacons, holding in their right hand a thurible and in their left hand an incense box. The figures are presented with a linear manner and rather flat. The sanctified deacons are usually depicted in the north conch of the sanctuary, the so-called Prothesis, where the preparation of the Holy Gifts takes place, for which the deacons are responsible. It was at this place, the conch of the north chapel, that the preparation of the Holy Gifts probably took place.
